3 BLAZERS $50 & UNDER

Blazers are a staple for my wardrobe. I do consider them investment pieces and I splurge many times, but it is not necessary to spend a lot of money on them. Below are three oversized blazers I have purchased from Amazon in neutral tones and they are worth exploring them.

This neutral color blazer (1) is suitable for all year around. It is great for daytime and nighttime outfits and it pairs well with jeans and dresses. I am really impressed with it. It has a clean cut and it is very lightweight. The color I purchased is khaki and the size is medium. If you like the oversized style, then order a size bigger. Otherwise, order your normal size.

The second neutral blazer (2) I purchased ended up too big, but it worked out great as a blazer dress. I order size medium - definitely order your normal size for this one as it is an oversized blazer. I think it would look great with casual street style outfits. I will keep experimenting with this one and update my thoughts on it.

I love a white blazer (3), especially in the spring time. I wear it over a dress or jeans and it instantly elevates the look. It is a very pretty blazer for any time of the day or night and can be styled with formal outfits. The size I am wearing is medium. Again, if you like the oversized style, then order a size bigger. Otherwise, order your normal size.

SPENDING THE DAY IN THE CITY

A much needed day to take a pause on everyday life and re-charge!

The pressure of our every day lives sometimes draws upon us quite a bit. As a new mother, I am trying to balance raising our daughter and providing the best for her, while having a full time job and building my own dream. Many sleep deprived nights and days and countless cups of iced coffee!

Today was a perfect day to catch up with my sister and spend the day in the city walking around.

New York City is just so powerful and beautiful! The moment I step outside, my energy changes. This day was filled with activities that I enjoy and I am sure will lift me up!

First stop was Eataly Flatiron for a much needed iced latte. One of my favorite spots in the city for grocery shopping, wine shopping and sipping and coffee. My go to coffee drink is iced latte with almond milk - I’m committed to it even in the coldest of days! Next stop was Sephora to pick up a few of the everyday essentials. Sephora is definitely a place I find peace in. You can find what I bought here.

Next stop was Strand Bookstore to buy a few books for my 10-month old daughter. Also, visited the traveling section to see where we should go next! We haven’t decided yet, but definitely in need of a vacation.

Final stop was Hillstone for lunch and a glass of wine, because a glass of wine makes everything better. Hillstone was a favorite place to go after work pre-pandemic, so every time we go back, it brings good memories! And let’s be honest, good food and wine, along with good company, make life more enjoyable and recharge you!

5 MUST HAVES FOR TRAVELING WITH A BABY

These are the essential items we always travel with!

BABY BREZZA REUSABLE POUCHES We follow BLW with our daughter and let her eat and explore the food by herself, but we definitely give her pouches and blended foods as well - I find the pureed food to be easy for traveling or when we are outside, as well as actually provide some nutrition for her since a lot of the solids that we give her end up on the floor as well. We mainly make our own pureed food following the fundamentals from Be Well By Kelly and these reusable pouches by Baby Brezza are the best! We make a big batch at times and store a few of these in the freezer. When we are ready to travel, I either take it out the night before and let it defrost in the refrigerator overnight, or take it out the same day and let it defrost in room temperature, if I cannot bring a cooler with me. Bonus point - they are dishwasher safe!

KYTE BABY SLEEPING BAG

Can they make this for adults too? LOL. This sleeping bag is so soft and so warm! We have the 2.5 TOG sleeping bag which is especially important when we are traveling since I cannot control the temperature and, most places are usually colder than I would prefer it. This keeps my mind at peace.

ERGOBABY CARRIER

We mostly use the stroller to go to our walks, but the carrier is especially useful when we are traveling since we can carry her easily from the car to any places we go for short times. We have the Uppa Baby Vista V2 Stroller, and while we love it, it feels like a lot of work to put it together for short distances. Plus, we always have the carrier with us in case she starts complaining and doesn't want to stay in the stroller any longer.

TABLE CHAIR AND CHAIR TRAY

This table chair and tray are the best inventions ever. We have this set up at our pantry countertop along with the regular high chair, but always take it with us when traveling. It fits over most tables and countertops that have an overhang and it is pretty secured. The tray is so clever fitting over the chair - first, I do not have to worry about my daughter touching germs from other surfaces and second, I do not have to worry about ruining other people's tables. Food goes literally everywhere when we eat ... Plus, the tray serves as the plate too many times.

BABYBJORN TRAVELING CRIB

The BabyBjorn traveling crib is very convenient. It weights about 13lbs, so it is very light to carry, even if you are carrying the baby. It is incredibly easy to set it up and fold it back up and it comes with a mattress and a traveling case. The mesh around it makes it easy for supervision and the fabric is machine washable, which is super convenient. I set it up in the room as soon as we arrive at our destination and it is ready for nap time or bed time.

I update our essentials and must haves as our daughter is growing. I will definitely share more about the items my family finds useful for every day and when traveling.
