Georgia's Top Five - February Edition

It has been a hot minute since I wrote on my blog because life has gotten to me - many things to do and so little time! I am starting a monthly blog post where I am going to share my Top Five favorite things of the month, ranging from skincare to houseware - basically anything that has made my month look bright!

The Baguette Bag by Sandro in Ecru is so damn cute! The gold hardware and the off-white color hint spring to me and I cannot wait for Spring time to come! I love styling it with brown color clothes to soften the look of the entire outfit and help me achieve the transitional spring looks.

I have been wearing the Nina sunglasses by Ray Ban non-stop. The vintage cat-eye shape is so perfect and they make me feel so feminine and confident.

These Combination Running Shoes might be the most comfortable sneakers I have worn in a while and I am really enjoying being comfortable lately. I enjoy taking long walks and I take advantage of that during work (I walk to all my site as much as possible). These sneakers have been my go to during those casual days. I prefer to style them with blazers to dress them up.

I am loving wide leg pants and they are having a moment right now. This pair by AQUA x Maeve Reilly is pretty affordable and comes in white and black. I love that I can style them with boots and sneakers depending on the occasion I am dressing for.

The Kosas Plump + Juicy Vegan Collagen + Probiotic Spray-on Serum has been a life saver the past couple of days. My skin has been so dry - thanks winter - and I have been liberally applying this spray throughout the day. The hyaluronic acid has helped hydrate my skin after a day of use. It also feels very refreshing when applying directly on skin.

SEPHORA HOLIDAY SAVINGS EVENT 2022

It is that time of the year again (it feels that I am actually late at posting this)! The Sephora Holiday Sale 2022 is here until November 7th and it is available for all Beauty Insiders (all levels).

This year I decided to mostly replenish on favorite items versus experiment with new ones. Below you will find my top picks for skincare, hair, body and makeup - these are the items I use everyday and I swear by.

The picture above basically sums up my skincare routine. I love Sephora's Triple Action Cleansing Water as a first step to remove. my makeup. Do yourself a favor and get the bigger bottle that comes with the pump if you buy this one - it is very convenient. Also, one bottle lasts for a long time so stocking up now will get you to the next sale event. The Alpha Beta Pore Perfecting Cleansing Gel by Dr. Dennis Gross is ultimately the facial cleanser I use the most - I alternate between this one and the ExfoliKate Cleanser Daily Foaming Wash by Kate Somerville. Both are very effective for my skin type.

I swear by the Extra Strength Daily Peels by Dr. Dennis Gross! They are one of my all-time favorite products that I have been using for more than 6 years. Every time I stop using them, my skin hates me for it so I have made it a priority to use them daily or every other day. Many times I alternate these peels with Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant and Sunday Riley's Good Genes. These three products made my skin glow and I love them. I have combination acne prone skin - the acids that are in these formulations work best for my skin type.

Sunday Riley's UFO Acne Treatment Face Oil has been a life changer recently as I am breaking out more than usual at the moment. The Laneige Sleeping Mask is a must have and will always have multiple around the house and backups in my makeup bag. I love it so much! And they currently have a mini set with multiple scents (added to cart as soon as I came across it)!

I recently started using the JVN hair products - they smell amazing! I have been using the Complete Pre-Wash Scalp & Hair Treatment right before I wash my hair once a week and the Complete Nourishing Hair Oil Shine Drops after before I blow-dry and I have been enjoying them. The Gisou Honey Infused Hair Perfume is a small touch at the end of the blow dry to make my hair smell even better!

The two body products that I am loving at the moment is the Necessaire The Deodorant Gel and the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow AHA Pink Dream Body Cream - the scent of this product is incredible! You will find sniffing yourself multiple times a day!

These are all the makeup products I reach for everyday - I have a couple more that I use and I keep my makeup bag stocked with, but these ones are the product that I will use 95% of the time. True and loved makeup products that I know work with my skin tone and make me look good.

My favorite foundation this past year has been the Revealer Skin-Improving Foundation SPD25 with Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide by Kosas. It blends so nicely and smoothly onto my skin and minimizes my pores. It has a velvety finish (not dewy) and still looks very natural. It is a great medium coverage foundation that isn't drying and doesn't feel heavy. It is quite easy for me to apply in the morning when I am in a rush to get out of the house. The concealer I have been reaching for is the Armani Luminous Face and Under-Eye Concealer. I usually apply a bit of the Translucent Powder by Laura Mercier to blend the makeup and over my eyelids for a clean, matte base.

The Brow Pop Clean Dual-Action Defining Eyebrow Pencil by Kosas is the perfect one for me at the moment. It has a thicker side to help fill in brows and a thinner side to create very precise hair-like strokes. I always go back to the Limitless Lash Lengthening Mascara by Ilia, even if I try other ones to test them out. It makes my lashes very long (it is a lengthening mascara after all) and holds all day. This mascara leaves the perfect amount on my lashes. And of course I use the Diorshow Maximizer 3D Triple Volume Plumping Lash Primer prior to applying mascara - this is a product I have been using for 10 years or so. The Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion is another product I have been using for more than 10 years! When I find a good product, I do not let it go!

Have you tried any Pat McGrath product and never liked it? I have not - and he blushes are to die for! Such rich and bold pigments that are blendable and offer a skin- velvet finish. I have the Divine Powder Blush in Electric Bloom, which is a vivid coral matte color. So pretty! This blush paired with the Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil is magic!

Finally, I am purchasing a few more of the Kind Words Lip Liners from Rare Beauty. They are so blendable and such pretty colors! I'm obsessed with them and it is the only one that I am using right now. My go to lip look has been this liner in Humble and either wthe Summer Fridays Vanilla Beige or the Ubeauty The Plasma Lip Compound (not at Sephora). If you like the high gloss look, go with the Ubeauty one! Your lips will thank me!
