5 MAKEUP PRODUCTS I REACH FOR EVERYDAY AND I LOVE

I love playing with makeup and I am constantly looking and searching for new things. There are some items in my makeup routine that I have not changed for 10+ years now, but these are the 5 items that I am constantly reaching for at the moment and I do not go a day without.

My favorite foundation this summer has been the Revealer Skin-Improving Foundation SPD25 with Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide by Kosas. It blends so nicely and smoothly onto my skin and minimizes my pores. It has a velvety finish (not dewy) and still looks very natural. It is a great medium coverage foundation that isn't drying and doesn't feel heavy, especially now during the summer months. It is quite easy for me to apply in the morning when I am in a rush to get out of the house.

I have been using the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream for some time now, but this summer is when I actually started loving it the most! It gives the most beautiful sun-kissed bronze glow on your cheeks and I love using it as an eyeshadow as well. I just lightly apply the remainder of the cream on my eyelids and it looks so natural. I prefer minimal makeup everyday and the bronzing cream keeps my routine very simple and streamlined - it blends so easily with a brush, sponge or even your hands.

I will never NOT apply eyebrow pencil - even on days that I do not apply any makeup. The Brow Pop Clean Dual-Action Defining Eyebrow Pencil by Kosas is the perfect one for me at the moment. It has a thicker side to help fill in brows and a thinner side to create very precise hair-like strokes. What I like the most about this brow pencil is that it is on the drier side which allows it to last all day and not "melt" onto your skin.

I always go back to the Limitless Lash Lengthening Mascara by Ilia, even if I try other ones to test them out. It makes my lashes very long (it is a lengthening mascara after all) and holds all day. This mascara leaves the perfect amount on my lashes Plus, my eyes are very sensitive, so having a clean brand in my makeup bag is a MUST.

The Plasma Lip Compound by UBeauty is my favorite lip balm at the moment. Lip balms are probably my favorite item to shop for - every time a brand comes out with a balm I most definitely love to try them out. The Plasma Lip Compound transforms my lips to be plump, super hydrated and soft. It has so many good key ingredients that work overtime and with continued use, I have seen my lips improve in texture and shape. I also love the high gloss shine and, although I prefer to wear it by itself, many times I add a lip pencil for the perfect nude lip color. My most preferred lip pencil is Pillow Talk Lip Cheat Re-Shape and Re-Size Lip Liner by Charlotte Tilbury. That is the perfect combo for me!

NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE FINDS & WISHLIST

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has me wishing it is fall already! As I am looking through the sale, I see so many fall pieces that will become favorites and are so much my style and all time beauty and skincare must-haves that I want to stock up.

I have a COLLECTION in the LTK app that I am adding to and updating, if you want to follow along.

Sweater weather is my favorite time of the year and sweaters and turtlenecks are some of my favorite items to purchase. The AllSaints Mock Neck Sweater and Free People Turtleneck Sweater look so cozy for the fall and winter time. The Treasure & Bond Organic Cotton Blend Crewneck Sweater can be styled with the Open Edit Fitted Blazer and pant as well as the Treasure & Bond Glen Plaid Blazer and pants as well for office/business attire.

I am excited to try the Body-Con dress by Naked Wardrobe and the Sweater Dress by Topshop and the Spanx Shaper Bodysuit would be perfect for these dresses.

I am excited for all the boots that are on sale - I have my eye on Vince Kaye Block Heel Bootie and Karl Lagerfeld Paris Pippa Crystal Embellished Platform Boot for everyday and Reiss Caitlin Knee High Boot for day to night outfits. My wishlist consists more everyday items that are suitable for work and everyday activities, like the black and white simple shirts to style with high waisted pants and black or off-white blazers.

As far as beauty and skincare, Nordstrom has some really great deals and I will take advantage of this sale to stock up on my favorites and try a few brands that I have been meaning to for a while. I am restocking on my favorite face cleanser by Kate Somerville, the body exfoliator and lotion by Necessaire and supergoop sunscreens. The Augustine Bader and Barbara Sturm products are very popular but also pricey, which is one of the reasons I have not tried them yet. I have read good reviews for both brands and would love to try these, especially now that they are on sale. Good Genes from Sunday Riley is an all time favorite lactic acid serum that transforms my skin! I have not used it recently as I was trying other products, but I should definitely go back to it. Paula’s Choice BHA 2% Liquid Exfoliant is great for minimizing pores - I have been using this for about a month now and I can see already great results. I have been wanting to try the beauty tools from BeautyBio for a long time now and I think I will pull the trigger and get this set - it includes 3 microtip attachments for face, body and scalp to help with smooth texture, firmer skin and fuller hair. The one item I am most excited to try is the Delina Eau De Parfum by Parfums De Marly - it is supposed to be a divine scent!

The home section has some great deals as well. We have broken a lot of glassware lately with a 14-month old around the house, so it’s a good idea to stock up on some at the moment. We have the Theragun and love it. This mini version is great to take with you while traveling as well.

I love throws and blankets - the Barefoot Dreams throw blanket is so soft and the Finn Hand Knit throw blanket matches quite well my aesthetics. I am also going to restock on staples like sheets, towels and silk pillowcases.

5 LIP BALMS I HAVE BEEN REACHING FOR LATELY

Lip products are probably my favorite to purchase and splurge - I already have many but I cannot help purchasing new ones that I come across with and restocking on ones that I know I love.

The Supergoop Lip Screen sunscreen is my go to during the day to layer on top of any lip color or just bare lips for added protection. It is a non-sticky lip gloss and I love the glowing finish and the fact that it comes with an applicator! SPF is very important for your lips too and many of us forget to apply on lips!

The Plasma Lip Compound by UBeauty is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. It feels so soft on your lips and makes them plump and glossy. It is a hydration boost on your lips and it is supposed to increase volume and improve texture, shape and color. I have not been using it for that long to visibly notice all these benefits yet, but I love the results I see when I use it. I mostly use it on bare lips. It is an expensive product but definitely worth it for me.

The Summer Fridays Vanilla Beige lip butter balm is also a great product and smells so good! It hydrates lips and has a hint of color that you ca wear alone or layer on top of a lipstick. My favorite combo at the moment is a nude lipliner and lipstick with a little bit of gloss on top. The only downside is the amount of product in the tube - it is not as much as it used to be when they were selling it in the metal tube.

I had forgotten how good the Diamond Lip Booster by Natura Bisse is. The first thing you notice when you wear it is a tingly effect that adds suppleness instantly and makes your lips look fuller. It hydrates and nourishes the lips, while helping minimize fine lines and wrinkles. I love the glossy finish it adds and the applicator has a metal tip that soothes the lips on the first touch. It is an expensive product but I personally love it.

Finally, the Dior Addict Lip Glow in Raspberry 07 is a must have. This color sells out really fast so put the notification on this one! I love products that give a custom glow and color to your lips based on the pH levels. They are so intriguing to me as I find that they hare slightly different every time I put them on. The Dior Addict Lip Glow lasts for hours (even if the sheer finish is off, the color stays on) and makes the lips so soft and moisturized after a single use. I have a couple more colors but the 07 is my favorite at the moment.
